How can I make reserved checkouts from CVSNT ? I know it is bad practice,
but we are investigating ways of using CVS with UML development tools.
These tools keep project object diagrams as binary files and trying to merge
these, while not advisable and probably impossible, would be a nightmare.

Also, I have installed the server on an NT server and am able to create
modules, checkout the modules to a completely different directory (meaning
not in cvsroot), etc. on the server. But connecting to the server from a
remote PC seems to be impossible. This is the output I get:

============================================================
C:\temp>cvs -d :pserver:Dummy@SERVER:/cvsroot login
(Logging in to Dummy@SERVER)
CVS password:
cvs [login aborted]: connect to SERVER:2401 failed: Connection timed out
============================================================

Any pointers on these two issues will be appreciated.

Rajan.
