I raised a bug report for WinCVS 1.3 beta, saying that it no longer supports proxy connections. The response I got (attached below) states that the problem is that WinCVS 1.3 uses cvsnt for its underlying command line CVS utility, and cvsnt does not support proxy connections.
Can proxy support be included into cvsnt? Otherwise I will be forced to remain with WinCVS 1.2, or alternatively to request that WinCVS revert to using its previous utility rather than cvsnt. As the comment attached below makes clear, I am not the only one with this problem. Thanks, Paul moore From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Bug 838] - WinCVS 1.3.8.1 doesn't support a proxy http://devnet.strata.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=838 ----- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2002-06-07 09:22 ----- It is because cvsnt doesn't have this patch. Please drop an email to www.cvsnt.org for advocating it. Hopefully Tony Hoyle will pick-up it. I use it all the time because this is the only back door in my company, and now I'm restricted on the Windows side because of WinCvs. _______________________________________________ Cvsnt mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.cvsnt.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/cvsnt
