My model would be to use a wiki to create a scaffold or outline and
then add links to the audio files. It's not ideal in that the files
that one listens to (e.g. ogg files) are not the same as the files
needed to edit the content (e.g. audacity project files).

The only audio file editing (how's that for alliteration?) that I can
envision is to possibly add some background music, sound effects maybe,
adjust sound levels...I think if you want to edit at the level of the
individual sound or word, you may be barking up a very tall tree.
Robert, when I was reading along with you voicing the article from
producingoss.com, I was a bit thrown off stride when you spoke the
written dialogue differently than the voice in my head. In the case of
dialogue, that would be a major concern, the interpretation.
