First my appologies for the fact that I have omitted to safeguard the problem and have changed the code, now it is in a broken state. But you asked for the example and that is a very good idea. I did a cx-Freeze on the original example C:\Python31\Lib\site-packages\PyQt4\examples\phonon\musicplayer.pyw On my system the mainwindow is shown You can do a File/Add files... But the chosen files are not showing up in the list. You must select one of those before you can plsy them. Before I can say this is the same problem in my project I need to restore my project first.
