The workaround I used was to manually edit the WkDir field in the .msi Shortcut
table to "TARGETDIR", using a tool like InstED.

not break window icons
Hi,
I got the same issue. I found the reason of that issue but can not be able to
get the solution. The issue is shortcut icon "Start in" property is empty. If
you right click on shortcut icon, you will see "start in" textbox is empty
after Target textbox.
If you enter the path of your build exe folder in start in (eg. If target value
is C:\Program Files\My Project\myproject.exe then start in value will be
C:\Program Files\My Project), It will solve the issue and display the icon.
But it is manual solution. I want to know how to fill that start in value using
cx_freeze?
Regards,
Deep Chandra
