(this is an ongoing "work in progress", subject to change.) CXF version 2.0.3 - target Oct 31 This should just be a bug fix release for bugs users encounter with 2.0.2. This will be done on a branch by selectively merging fixes from trunk on an as-needed basis. For the most part, there would be fixes for: XFire migration issues Any interopability issues Critical show stoppers etc.... CXF version 2.1 - target Dec 15. The "trunk" should now be targetting 2.1 development. There are several new features that are targetted for this release: JAX-WS 2.1 support JAXB 2.1 WS-A in the API's JAXB Annotations on SEI interface methods WebServiceFeature annotation (map to our Features annotation) XmlBeans databinding (runtime definite, tooling is lower priority) JiBX databinding (runtime, tooling is lower priority) New java2ws tooling Start of better REST support (JSR-311) ?js support (from the grant from BasisTech) OSGi bundling Possibilities: (resources permitting, these will go into 2.1, but ok to slip to 2.2) CORBA support via inherited code from Yoko (see discussion on yoko dev list) Better Acegi integration WS-SecureConversation/Trust Other WS-* stuff
