Oh, man! I'd LOVE to have a copy of the DR gamebox, but Avalanche is totally
paranoid about Cyberboard. As a result, DR was the last game of AP's that I
intend to
own until such time as they change their attitude.

  Subject: [CBML] Defiant Russia

Following a recent heart attack (!!) I have found the time to try out
cyberboard designer with a view to get back into gaming before it
truly is too late. I had in mind to persuade my ol' gaming buddy (who
lives 350 miles away) to take up PBEM to help me get my wargame fix.
Well, this program could sure use a systematic manual. I imagine I
took the same route as all other would-be designers and looked
particularly to Gary Christiansen's Strategy 1 work together with
trying to nut out what to do from looking at other gameboxes.

If I had worked out exactly what was going on I was of a mind to
prepare a primer for the would-be CB designer. Regrettably, I am
somewhat in the dark about a number of features of the application so
you will be spared my systematic thoughts on the subject. (I think
that a fair bit of my problem stems from relying on scanned images).

What I have though is a substantially complete gamebox for "Defiant
Russia". I would need tuition -- or more time than I will have
available -- to complete it. What should I do? And what is
  Avalanche's policy at the moment?

Thanks for any guidance you can offer.
