If a tray is 'owned' by a player then the other players will only see the counter backs of any pieces that are in that tray. And when a counter is moved from the tray to the board it is still 'owned' by the player and only shows the backs to others. To set this you need to go to the tray properties and select the owner -- or, if you don't have players set up yet, start by setting up players, then assign tray ownership. Geoff
