This letter is for Christer Karlsson or anyone else who worked on the "Kingmaker" gamebox (or anyone else that can help, for that matter)...
I've been looking at the Kingmaker Cyberboard gamebox and have a couple of questions about the game rules - I've not played it before. I also found a couple of minor errors in the gamebox. I want to say first of all that the gamebox is great! Must have been a lot of effort by those involved... Next, the errors - One, the Bourchier card is misspelled; the "C" is missing. Two, the *town* of Newcastle card has the location code for the *castle* of Newcastle - Ll. The town (not the castle) is located at Qk. Next, the questions. 1) When the open area containing a port borders 2 sea zones, can ships enter and leave via either zone? Or does the port only border the sea zone nearest the port symbol? The ports of Rye and Swansea, for example. 2) I'm confused about what happens with some cards when a noble is killed. It looks like his card goes back in the Crown deck (is the deck then shuffled, or is he just put at the bottom?). Title and office cards go to the Chancery. What happens to city and mercenary cards? Do they also go to Chancery? 3) If a noble escorting a royal is killed (by plague, for example) and the loyalty roll for the noble fails while the Royal heir survives, the heir stays in the location - but now the heir is no longer held by that faction, since it no longer has an escort, correct? If the town/castle the heir is in is controlled by a faction, does that faction take control? If anyone can answer these question, thanks. Ken Green
