Gents: As you expressed interest.  Drew, the original poster could not seem to
get my gmv file to load, so I sought out my long time friend , Ivan, who
introduced me to these AH games in the early 70s.  We were able to figure out
CB fairly well for complete newbies.

I had only one instance where a file sequence was messed up, but was able to
recover because of the numerous backups I'd make before each exchange, allowing
me to piece the sequence back together.

We bit off the rules in small chunks...incorporating additional sections as we
felt ready.

We extended the scenario until every last piece of one side was eliminated as a
learning tool of strategy and rules.  This required unsound strategies like
abandoning Quebec.

Slowly it came back to me about strategies in these types of games.  I was the
one who definitely made the blunders in this one, but Ivan was always better
than I anyways.

Anyways, this was a blast as I can never seem to escape the nostalgia of my
youth.

BTW, this turned out to be much better than the actual boardgame.  I had the
board setup also, but I now remember the drawbacks...stacking pieces that
scatter, difficulty in actually picking them up, forgetting where they were
after being picked up, redoing a move, etc.  The CB system eliminates virtually
all of these problems and like I said, if you are diligent about backups along
the way, you almost certainly have a recovery option.

The Mr. Furniss system for SVE, sealed virtual envelopes, went without a hitch
and was established quickly.  Thanks to him also.

I would like to observe to, its been years and years since I last played.
Could the players send the cyberboard files to those of us who want to do so?

Regards,
Victor
