For those of us using WinDoze, a utility I've found useful is "Trace",
available free for the download from PC Help at:
http://www.nwi.net/~pchelp/index.html
It is a DOS batch file that does a traceroute, ping, host lookup and more
all at once. It doesn't do much that you couldn't do yourself manually,
but it makes things easier and faster. Among other things I use it to
show disgruntled Hotmail users that my system is working fine and that
their problem is not my fault.
