Hello all, seems that many guys and gals around here who already have a
cybercafe could help some of us who still don't and we would like to have
your sincere opinion on the usage of a controling software that will help
to take account all users and other stuff that could be sold, like
pastries, beverages, laser printing, etc.

I have been looking at some programs, like CybercafePro, which seems to be
very popular but it lacks POS - point of sale - option, which in my opinion
weakens it, as a cybercafe must also make some cash at the mentioned
services or Cybergate, which I have heard of but not found in the net to
evaluate or Easycafe, which seems to comply better, but could you
cyber-sysops spare some time and please tell us which software you are
using to account for all type of sales and if their result is satisfactory
- good, according to the price payed for it ? I know that there are all
types of needs and "gustos" but no opinion is better that the one that
comes from the user, not the publisher.

I have read some postings named " the best so and so" but they lack
objectivity and the thread dilutes into a spam no spam talk, which takes
nowhere as to the initial question and so said thread is no good to us.

In my opinion a cybercafe is a place where people gather mainly to be with
each other in a nice enviroment. To be able to provide such enviroment an
art gallery with photos, paintings, drawings etc., from users will attract
customers as will assorted food & beverages to take away or to enjoy in house.

If you make a small list of saleable goods you'll probably will end with
something like this:

1 - walk in time (fixed or depending of time of day (low/high))
2 - payed in advance time (at a possible discount)
3 - various type of coffees (of course)
4 - other beverages (teas, milkshakes, beer, alcoholic, etc)
5 - preprepared sweet foods
6 - preprepared salty foods
7 - out of the package food (potato chips in example)
8 - microwave food (popcorn?)
9 - "fast" on demand salty food (sandwiches, salads, hotdogs, burgers, etc. )
10 - souvenirs of various kinds (caps, t-shirts, postcards, etc)
11 - computers & related accesories
12 - Other... ???

As you can see, the sale of internet time takes only 2 positions on this
list. I envision a cybercafe as an eating place with computers to surf,
e-mail, play, etc. as an attraction. Taken the choice; would you go to the
place where there are only computers or a "little bit more" like food and
the sort ?

Well, we need a program that will in a simple way help us account for all
possible type of bussines w can possible make in our cybercafe. Any
suggestions ?

Thanks to all for your kind attention

Raul
