On the other hand, some points that were made by the author of
Nation of Cowards (Jeffrey Snyder?) are worth considering.
As he points out, the book is deeply flawed in that shooters
are joined by vicims of the drug war in their uprising and then
settle for the revocation of gun controls only...ignoring other
horrible violations of the Bill of Rights. It makes it appear
that we just wish to keep our toys instead of the revolt being
a deep rooted, serious rebellion against tyranny.
Also, the author's obvious onanistic pleasure with dispatching
thinly disguised politicians in...unusual...ways counts as a
strike against the book.
All this being said, it's probably not the worst first book ever
written. And it may serve to make the powers that be realize
there IS a line in the sand.
We were trying to get the author (John Ross - a DEMOCRAT from
Missouri) to address the Washington state Libertarian Party
convention but, unfortunately, it fell through.
