Yup, it is the .50BMG HB2. With the mount locked it make
a nice long range slow firing gun that outranges anything
the other guys have so encourages good behaviour ( the
dead ones always behave).

If you want to read a good book, get a copy of "Marine
Sniper" by Charles Henderson. That book starts off
with a chapter on how Carlos Hathcock used an M2 HMG
for sniping in the Vietnam War.
