Indeed. Well said Jim. Get people shooting, and it is harder to ban it.

Does anyone else notice that the ACPO are now incredibly concerned about
things
that they weren't concerned about at all before other things were banned?
Have
criminals started getting tickets and sniping police officers since the
pistol ban
"stopped" them getting pistols? Or is this just another creeping law system,
that
will eventually ban everything? What exactly is a long range sniping rifle?
Well, 7.
62mm is the standard, as it has been for many years. Gosh, NRA, hear that?
Your
bolt-action sniping rifles are going to be banned next, along with rather
odd
long-barrelled pistols, which no criminal in their right mind would ever
want. The
police want to ban the long barrelled pistols for what reason? on what
grounds can
they be seen as espcially dangerous? Compared to a racegun modified 1911, or
the
police's own MP-5 sub-machine guns, they are almost totally useless in a
building,
or up close, or to conceal, or... Compared to almost any rifle, they are
woefully hard to shoot,
inaccurate and under-powered.. Who are the ACPO fooling? Or is it that the
politicians are wanting a justification??

It all stinks like week old fish.
Nigel
