read the account carefully. they refer to Kalishnikov, yet one person
talks about "semiautomatic ..."
if so, you have the typical, at least here in the US, use of terms
loosely by the press to further the lie. these may be nothing more than
semi auto versions of the AK. If so, they are 100% legal here in the
US, except for some jurisdictions that believe and tell lies.
BTW, you can own a machine gun here. Process takes in excess of 6
months, costs $200 on top of the cost of the Class III weapon. You pay
for the firearm upfront, and wait.

It is largely academic here though as centrefire semi-autos are
prohibited as well. Either way, some vague conversation with
someone over the phone doesn't mean they are shipping them over
to Scotland.
