Like I said, I didn't make this up!

Your ride report was much better than mine!

That was a serious bonk. I am totally trashed!

Subject: [COWs] weekday ride report

Tim and I rode today at noon. We had a nature ride. Let me continue.
Our first encounter with nature was a small pack of three dogs. The
larger of the three tried to climb up Tim's front wheel. Fortunately he
did not succeed. Our second dog-in-the-road was a Doberman Pinscher
that Tim, with a loud bark, startled back into his driveway. By the
time the dog regained his senses we were well on our way. We then took
a new, very pretty route, that climbed for "a long time" into the wind.
While climbing in granny gears we started a stampede. Yes, a herd of
cattle started running at, and with, us. (Just shows you how slow we
were climbing that hill. Did I mention it was into the wind?) At the
top of the hill I encountered a large black snake in the road. I let
him cross with plenty of room to spare. Few more miles down the road,
Tim encountered a very large black snake in the road. Tim, however,
decided to ride between the snake and its intended destination. The
snake appeared to try to climb up Tim's leg. Fortunately it did not
succeed. Throughout our ride the wind tried relentlessly to beat us
into submission. Unfortunately it did succeed. About 5 miles from home
I hit a brick wall. Tim mentioned something about being tired too. I
limped a couple of miles further with Tim, then we went our separate
ways and I limped home. The only thing that kept me going was the
thought of the large bowl of yummy brown rice and steamed asparagus in
my fridge. I heard Tim say something about 4 ice cream sandwiches and a
nap. :) Kinnie
