Perhaps get a small group – perhaps 3 or 4, so you have varied input based on
individual experiences. I myself have not had any disastrous experiences on the
road with dogs (knock on wood) and the rare close call with a vehicle.

Gina Bradley just told me that she would write it up in the WDT…. Anyone want
to do the interview?

Kevin?

We need the WDT to do an article about cyclists' rights to the road.

I'll be there Fri.I had a close call yesterday also.Took a little 58 miler in
reverse conner hill ride through middlesex, add 231 to 97 and back home by
58.Close call came on bloomery rd.An older gentlemen passed me very closely.I
politely waved my hand suggesting he move over alittle to pass.He was not happy
about this and waited for me.Told me to move to the edge of the road.I politely
suggested he check his dmv manual for use of road ways for bicyclist. He replied
he has read it before.I asked if he had possibly read an up to date manual. He
then politely pulled away and gave me the free bird wave.Which I politely
returned not wanting to be rude and suggested he keep driving when he tapped
his brakes.

P.S. other wise a dog free ride occured.

I had an encounter with a dog yesterday; he/she was driving a very large,
road-hogging SUV. This dog, instead of chasing me, decided to meet me head-on
by passing a car. There was no shoulder and I was hemmed in by a mailbox. It
was one of those moments where you just look at the road then thank God after
for no bone crushing noises.

Chris, still up for a ride Friday? Leave from front of my house? 9:00 or
10:00? Tim, are you available to ride Friday?

Kinnie
