I am very excited to announce that the Wilson Family YMCA and the Wilson Recreation Department will hold our first Kids Triathlon this year. This event will be held at the Recreation Department on September 25, 2010. The swim will be in the bubble and the bike and run will be on the surrounding streets. Age groups will be 5-7, 8-10 and 11-17. The date was approved last week so I am just in the beginning stages of planning this event. I will provide more information as I have it. I know many of you would be interested in volunteering for this event and that would be greatly appreciated, so please mark your calendars. We are also in need of sponsorships. If you are interested please contact me. The organization that we are using is (KIT) Kids in Training, a nonprofit from the Raleigh area. Please take a moment to look over their website.
