John O. and I rode a 200k brevet in Lumberton Saturday. Cold, windy but dry.
These folks are crazy. Highlight of the day was the old wood heater in a
country store at mile 78. We camped out there for about an hour. I had one of
those cokes in the old glass bottle and a bag barbecue chips. I may have dozed
off a couple of times. Bummer of the day was the 15mph headwind for the last
40+ miles. I ended up with 128 miles total. My Garmin claimed I polished off
8,250 calories. Two recovery drinks after getting home and Bam, I wake up and
it's Sunday morning. Maybe it was all just a dream.
