I would suggest we carpool but with time being a factor for me I may forgo the additional 30 miles. You could follow if you don't know where the start is.

He swore he couldn't do it, but he stayed right on my back tire for every mile. I think he is ready to ride with the group, but he keeps saying he can't hang. After today . . . no excuses. We kept a steady pace, averaging 18 mph. The last 20 miles threw us a headwind, which dropped the average a little.
