It's National Bike-to-Work Week 2010. Are you joining in?

Here at peopleforbikes.org, we see National Bike-to-Work
Week as National Bike-to-Anywhere Week: Bike-to-the-Store,
Bike-to-Your-Friend's-House, Bike-on-a-Trail. Wherever you
want to go, go there on two wheels.

Bike-to-Work Week is part of National Bike Month, and we're
celebrating by giving brand-new bikes to four lucky
peopleforbikes.org supporters.

The first drawing is this Friday, so make sure you enter for
your chance to win, and pass on the word:

Nearly 50 percent of the trips Americans make each day are
three miles or less -- the perfect distance for fun and easy
rides. So this week, try making a few more of your trips by
bike.

You'll see the benefits immediately. Going 10 miles by bike
instead of by car saves an average of $10, and three hours
of riding per week can reduce the risk of heart disease and
stroke by half.

But most importantly, traveling by bicycle is fun. Instead
of stop-and-go traffic and exhaust fumes you'll enjoy the
open road, fresh spring air, and an energizing workout.

Enjoy your ride this week and every week,
