Saturday morning ride went well, we had 7 riders and cooler temperatures, great weather. I managed to keep up with the group for the first 42 miles but then just couldn't manage the 22-23mph cruising speed any longer. Thanks Jim for dropping back with me, the new guy, to keep me company. Sorry to slow you down, but I really appreciated it. Later, Joshua rode with me at the end - Thanks! I have no idea where we went other than I heard something about Old Sparta and know we stopped at the Hardee's in Pinetops. Not much excitement early on the ride but later Joshua went flying off his bike. Fortunately no damage to the bike, but that also doesn't give him the excuse to get a new one either, just a new helmet. He had some pretty good raspberries on his arm and leg but nothing broken, but I'm sure he was sore through the weekend. Thanks again for a great first ride and I look forward to more rides and keeping up better in the future. Definitely looking to upgrade out of the cages in the near future. Steve - the "newbie"
