On vacation at Sunset Beach. Headed out for what I thgought was going to be around 50 miles. About 30 miles in i knew I was wrong on the distance and it was going to be at least 60 and was good with that. At about mile 45 I took a wrong turn and stoped at a c-store 5 miles up to ask were 904 was? of course it was about 15 miles back down the same road I just came up. got to 904 and knew were I was at this point and i could get back to house. finished with 79miles......whats an extra 30miles when you are on vacation....right? my legs were wasted and then I see Tim's 1000k report....I now feel like a wimp!

Did I mention that I was taking the day off! NOT!!! We started with 11 riders (I think) this evening (Pete, James, Dave W., Jonathan, Susan, Winslow, Brian, Tim S., Bob, Bob and I. We'll have to get nicknames for the Bobs. Right now it's short Bob and tall Bob. A Raleigh cyclist who works at the Wilson Hospital, Brad joined us in the industrial park. We cruised out Old Raleigh, St. Rose, back St. Mary's & Downing St. for 23 miles. I did the lead out on Downing St. while Tim S. and Brad battled for the stage win. Brian also cleaned out the cobwebs earlier in the ride. Great ride! Any ride is a great ride.
