Jeff, Steve T, DC and Ken Johnson (new CoW, but not new to the bike that’s for sure) headed out from OSB at 6am for 23 miles at 21avg. Regular Wed morning route that started out at conversation pace until we hit Hornes Church. Pace picked up but group stayed together. The pace again picked up on Thompson Chapel to get the heart rate up until we ended with a conversation pace all the way back to OSB on 58. Friday 6am might be the last morning before bumping the time to 6:15…..we might can get one more week as long as everyone has lights? Side note: don’t buy Hutchinson road tires right now. I have had 4 blow outs, two while bike was sitting still and two while riding. When I say blow out I really mean blow out….the tire blows off the rim and sounds like a shot gun. (Ronnie and Jon know what I mean because they were there for one of them) Last Wednesday my rear tire blew out and again the tire came off and I may have to replace my rim. I talked with performance bikes and they have had more returns and complaints about this happing then they can count(that was his wording). My question was why are they still selling the tires? Well they are going to replace my tires and tubes and try to fix my rim. DC

Cruised out solo from Nashville to Bailey, headed for the whirligigs. Crossed paths with James L. on 581. We then cruised together to Lucama and back towards Wilson. James heads home with 40+ miles, I continue back to Nashville for 63 miles. It was a great morning to ride. Cloudy with mild temps though still very humid. Susan, Bob L., Bob D. and I cruise out this evening headed for Bailey. Being a small group, Bob L. sets a brisk pace on Horne's church. The pace remains a tad more than a usual BC ride, and then lil' Bob starts throwing punches. Hammers the 3 sisters, then Target Hill and again on Airport Rd. My head is spinning. 30 miles and another great ride, especially with the sub 90 degree heat. Another 100K in the morning. Somebody find me a job! tim-- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "CyclistsOfWilson-COWs" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
