We have finally reached that time of year when the 6:00 am Daybreak ride must end, just too dark. To close out the 2011 season a strong group turned out in under a cloudy sky in the dim light. Steve S, DC, Linda, The Kaiser and LR rolled out of OSB and down Nash St with red lights flashing. The group did a Tour de Elm City. Nash St./58 to Pridgen Rd., London Church Rd., Stage Coach Rd., Elm City Rd./Parker St. into Elm City. The ride continued across Main St. and on to 4 Tenths Rd, Upchurch Rd., London Church Rd., Lake Wilson Rd., Nash St./58 and into OSB.
It was a brisk ride of approximately 20 miles at a steady 20 pace. The group consistently rotated pulls with all riders taking solid turns on the front. I don't know who got The Polka Dot jersey up Lake Wilson Rd. but I have a sneaky suspicion it was DC. I must also confess to violating the no sprint rule on Nash St, oh the shame, but I am not alone in my guilt. A great way to start the day! The daybreak start time moves to 6:15 am next week. We will try that for a while and see how doable that time is. LR -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "CyclistsOfWilson-COWs" group.
