Steve Britton from N. Wilksboro joined me at Cracker Barrel in Wilson this morning at 10:00 am and we rode our bikes to Gasburg, Va. and back. 130 miles round trip. Highlights, he laughed at the fact that we actually named "Potato Hill". The pit bull on Lamm Road gave chase, tripped on a tree root and face planted! Awesome! Strong headwinds all the way to Virginia keeping our average just above 15 mph. 65 continuos miles of that crap. Plus all those hills from Castalia to Lake Gaston. I'm an idiot! The late start, plus the winds, hills dealt us riding the last couple hours in the dark with diving temps. Back to Wilson at 8:00 pm with my car covered in frost. Looooong day! Susan again had the most awesome dinner waiting when I got home! Life is good!
