DC, Wally and I rode from old Checkers last night for an advertised 20-25 miles
at a 20ish pace. The ride began with DC pulling at a civilized pace up 58 to
Pridgen and continued civilized while fighting the head wind up London Church
and 97 toward Sharpsburg. At this point, DC and Wally started conspiring to
lengthen the ride (there was no planned anyway) and added Town Creek to 42 and
then on to Firestone. The pace picked up significantly from Sharpsburg to the
end and we finished with about 37 miles at a 21 mph average speed. The weather
was perfect for a longer ride. Thanks to DC and Wally for the monster pulls.
Awesome night on the bike.
