Had a good race once I got warmed up after that very cold swim; had to spend 20+ minutes in the warming tent - shaking uncontrollably. Took every ounce of willpower I had to leave the warm tent and get on my bike; still in wet tri shorts, cold and windy outside. Shook for the first 45 min on bike til the first climb. Anyway, pulled it together to finish in 13:05, 26 out of 100 in my age group. Tough course so very happy with results. Patti did great for her first IM.
