Tim Lucas and I spent a glorious day on the bike riding the Whirligig Metric
Century route; we started at Dunkin Donuts instead of the Wilson County library
and it was slightly under the metric. Our pace was slightly above leisurely
for most of the route. The wind was a significant challenge several times, but
especially on Wiggins Mill Road past the Whirligigs. We never got a full
tailwind, but most of the north and west bound segments were much more fun
than Wiggins Mill. The Garmin report below gives the details starting and
ending at my house. 57.99 miles at 18.9 mph average.

Thanks to Tim for the long pulls...especially as I wore out near the end.
Glorious day to play hooky from work and spend it on the bike.

Any possibility you could send me the GPS file from your ride
afterwards? I'd like to have the Whirligig Metric route...if you use a
GPS enabled computer.
