Doc, ChickenToes (more later), MTB Dan, Stardude and I headed out from DD at 1PM today on a mission of mercy. This was a ride that was delayed for forgetful reasons. First, Chicken Farmer forgot his cycling shoes. Then Dan shows up and says he forgot his helmet. Dan went home to gather his helmet and met the group up the road at Checkers. After trying to find a substitute pair of shoes, we convinced Chicken Farmer to ride in this flip flops and he became ChickenToes. The route was changed to head to ChickenToes house to retrieve his shoes for the return ride. The group headed through Elm City via Pridgen, left on Lindsey (?) and straight on Davistown Mercer to Steve’s house on Feathers Dr. Back out toward 42, right to Bridgersville and back toward Elm City. We got lucky and Cujo’s owner pulled up right before we arrived at that house and held the monster back. Left on Lindsey toward Upchurch, right on LCR, left on Lake Wilson. The group was well behaved on the first hill and followed wheel behind wheel, but at the second hill, ChickenToes attacked and MTB Dan went with him. Doc and Tim followed and Tim took the jersey. Great weather for riding.
