- The conflict with the ctags package has been fixed (offending files removed). - The packages have been split (mainly to reduce disk space if you don't need everything): emacs -- base non-X11 emacs (no need for XFree86) emacs-X11 -- emacs with X11 support (needs XFree86 etc.) emacs-el -- emacs LISP source files (for the adventurous) I haven't done a split package like this, so let me know if I did something wrong.
