It's not branched as I recall, as it's an external dependency. If it is branched, then it's fine to commit the update. If it's not branched, there should be some LDFLAGS or CXXFLAGS to get it to build and link ok. Also, we dont' need to get the fixed version into CVS as the setup source is distributed via itself :}.
