Hello, An updated Midnight Commander package is available. It addresses this problem:
http://sources.redhat.com/ml/cygwin/2003-04/msg02119.html As I've already indicated on the main list this is a bug introduced by me and it is specific to the Cygwin version of MC. This version does *NOT* address the problem with the UIDs which cannot fit in 16 bits. I did some work to fix that problem but I am not sure that it would be enough. I hade to do some more testing and even then I cannot be sure that MC will fucntion properly. Maybe I will release an update marked as 'test' and if noone complains at some point we can make it 'curr'.
