hmmm, that may be an option. At least this may be tweaked within the Cygwin layout in config.layout to have icons and manual served from a different (share) dir. And the 'cygcheck -c' issue would be solved if we keep the data in /usr/share/apache. Right? Or symlinking to the destination dirs?
