Hi, all, I just noticed that /bin/updatedb (from findutils) and /bin/bzdiff (from bzip2) use "tempfile", which is non-POSIX, and is missing under Cygwin. The fact that tempfile is missing was reported as early as a year and a half ago (<http://cygwin.com/ml/cygwin/2003-01/msg00876.html>), but the main point is that the scripts aren't portable. For a fix, see how /bin/vimtutor and /bin/bashbug do it. I'd be happy to provide the actual patches if needed, but they will probably need to be relayed upstream, which is where the maintainers come in.
