Hi,dos2unix on cygwin is different, it is 'conv'. The implementation I propose is used on major Linux distributions. You could keep 'conv' on cygwin. I propose to obsolete the links dos2unix and unix2dos to conv, and replace them with the dos2unix implementation as used on Linux.
