Hello, I run into the same problem as discussed in https://www.mail-archive.com/cygwin-apps@cygwin.com/msg37597.html
I found no final decision in this mail thread and the problem is still existing. I would also expect cygport depends on lzip, since source files are provided in this format. Maybe also tar should depend on lzip. Best regards, Hannes
