Thanks Yaakov.  I've now done that and the cygport build has completed
successfully.  However, although the final stage was:-

It seems to have installed everything to a very strange place (effectively,
to a subdirectory of the folder that I built it in).  I expected the final
libs etc to be installed in the "usual" folders (/usr/lib/, /usr/include/ or
whatever).  Is there an extra stage that I need to perform?
