I couldn't use the first line but I put the following into my .bash_profile:
export XAPPLRESDIR=/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/app-defaults
export XCMSDB=/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/Xcms.txt
export XKEYSYMDB=/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XKeysymDB
export XNLSPATH=/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/locale
No dice. I also wiped out the installation but of course that didn't work.
Would anyone else have other ideas?
