You can have both qt3 and qt4 installed. you don't need to uninstall
qt3. maybe qt4 is called qt? most linux distros name it like this,
because it'll be the "default" qt, qt3 is for backward compat only.

you don't need sources installed to develop qt apps, only the devel
packages. source is e.g for debugging. you can debug your own code
without it, but with src you can also trace through the qt code.

it seems you only have qt3-devel and qt4-src installed. try find some
qt4-devel or qt-devel packages. if it says installed, set it to
reinstall.
