Maybe the session is starting up on the remote host, but then shutting down unexpectedly because of security or a file-not-found condition or something like that. It sounds like CygwinXFree IS working for you, because you say that you DO get the login screen, right? So it must be something in the remote session that is making your link go down... For some reason, I just get bounced back to the login screen again. I've been unable to get this to work. Any ideas as to what could cause this?
