Well, you can get XF86 4.1.0 tar balls from http://www.xfree86.org. or of its mirror ftp site. We wont make tar balls out of CVS code until it is officially relased from XF86 Organization as Xfree86 4.2.0. You will be missing most recent changes if you cannot get CVS.
