Hi, I've compiled and installed a console torrent client rTorrent 0.8.5 under cygwin, following instructions here: http://rtwi.jmk.hu/wiki/rTorrentOnWindows
The problem is that rTorrent freezes for random-length periods of time with 100% CPU use. That same version of rTorrent does not freeze on that same computer on Debian GNU/Linux. I have posted more details (including strace and gdb debugging attempts) here: http://libtorrent.rakshasa.no/ticket/1163#comment:7 It appears that FreeBSD 6.x might have a similar problem, if that is relevant.
