I installed the latest Windows 10 update this morning and rebooted. Now Cygwin won't work at all. Using the latest test release of Cygwin:
CYGWIN_NT-10.0-WOW JJR 2.3.0(0.291/5/3) 2015-10-22 17:54 i686 Cygwin Any ideas? F:\>dash $ rebase-trigger fullrebase 0 [main] dash (4564) C:\Cygwin\bin\dash.exe: *** fatal error - cygheap base mismatch detected - 0xABB400/0xD1B400. This problem is probably due to using incompatible versions of the cygwin DLL. Search for cygwin1.dll using the Windows Start->Find/Search facility and delete all but the most recent version. The most recent version *should* reside in x:\cygwin\bin, where 'x' is the drive on which you have installed the cygwin distribution. Rebooting is also suggested if you are unable to find another cygwin DLL. 0 [main] dash 7044 fork: child -1 - forked process 4564 died unexpectedly, retry 0, exit code 0xC0000142, errno 11 dash: 1: Cannot fork -- Jim Reisert AD1C, <jjreis...@alum.mit.edu>, http://www.ad1c.us
