Mark, Rebasing all of your Cygwin DLL's *should* fix this. If you don't have the rebase package installed install it via setup.exe and follow this (taken from the rebase README): Use the following procedure to rebase your entire system: 1. shutdown all Cygwin processes 2. start bash (do not use rxvt) 3. execute rebaseall (in the bash window) Once you've follwed these steps things should work.
