Although in GPLv3, there is a new clause in section 2 that does not have a corresponding analogue in GPLv2: "You may convey covered works to others for the sole purpose of having them make modifications exclusively for you, or provide you with facilities for running those works, provided that you comply with the terms of this License in conveying all material for which you do not control copyright. Those thus making or running the covered works for you must do so exclusively on your behalf, under your direction and control, on terms that prohibit them from making any copies of your copyrighted material outside their relationship with you." IANAL, but perhaps you can use this to your advantage, by relicensing your program under GPL3, before sending a copy to someone off-list willing to debug it under your terms. But certainly bring that up with a lawyer before getting yourself into trouble (as I disclaim any bad results that come if you violate the GPL as a result of reading this email). Oh, and I'm not willing to be the off-list recipient to do your debug work. - -- Don't work too hard, make some time for fun as well!
