I'm sorry to ask you to go to that trouble without being able to really guarantee the likelihood of success...
No trouble, but no help either. Still crashes. Attached cygcheck output from ZA-less system FWIW.
I would in principle be willing to attempt debugging perl as per Reini's instructions except that I must confess I have never used gdb and don't even have the development tools installed...
