The exact same problem as with zsh, I also run into with fltk's
fluid.exe (from current 1.3 svn) on cygwin 1.7 and gcc 3.4.4.
fltk btw does not link to curses libraries.
fltk's fluid depends on libpng and libjpeg.
If I move back to from jpeg 6b-20 to 6b-12 and
from png 1.2.35-10 to 1.2.12-1, the built fluid.exe
will launch successfully.
