I have a simple and repro testcase with a fresh un-rebased perl-5.10.1. This makes it impossible to get through the testsuite, which always passed before. $ ./perl -Ilib -MPOSIX -e '`perl -e "exit 42"`; print $? >> 8' fails with the fork error 3 [main] perl 1756 fork: child -1 - died waiting for longjmp before initialization, retry 0, exit code 0xC0000005, errno 11 ... Without the dlopened POSIX.dll: $ ./perl -e '`./perl -e "exit 42"`; print $? >> 8' 42 Official rebased perl-5.10.0: $ perl -MPOSIX -e '`perl -e "exit 42"`; print $? >> 8' 42 pass. -- Reini Urban -- Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/ Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple
